After a month following the events of July 1905, the Romanian government returned the battleship back to Russia. She came back to the port of Sevastopol in October of 1905, was recomissioned again and renamed to Panteleimon. During World War I she was part of the 2nd Battleship Squadron of the Russian Black Sea Fleet and had participated in all of its operations.
In 1918 it had been captured by the Germans, then recaptured by the White Russians and later by the order of the British intervention forces her mashinery was blew up. During 1921-22 she served as the stage for making a well known throughout the world movie "Battleship Potemkin" which was completed and released in 1925. Soon afterwards this battleship, as not worthy of any repairs by that time, was scrapped in the period of 1924.
